A few years ago, I was delighted to be asked to paint the facade of one the oldest hotels in Luxor, the Winter Palace. Built in 1886, it was the Egyptian king's Winter palace, but is now run as a hotel owned by the French chain Sofitel.

In the aftermath of the 2001 Twin Tower disaster, Steve was asked to paint a watercolour of our Blitz monument in front of St Pauls cathedral in London, which commemorates the firemen who died during World War 2 during the German Blitzkrieg on the capital.
In 2006, Steve was asked to paint a large watercolour of Boys Hall, Ashford, Kent. When the painting was delivered, the proprietors, Marcus and Lloyd, were overjoyed with the result.
This year, I was commissioned by a high-end wedding stationer in Indonesia to paint the main cathedral in Jakarta for some wedding stationery.
