Leeds castle in Kent has been dubbed "The loveliest castle in England", so when I was approached in the latter part of 2022 to paint it, I was delighted. There was quite a short time element to it as it was to be presented to the retiring chairman of the trust before Christmas. Without going into detail, it was all delivered on time and was greatly appreciated by the recipient.I reckon this took over 50 hours as not only is it very detailed but it s one of my larger works at over half a metre long.

Leeds has had a significant part in our history as it was where Henry VIII housed his gfirst queen Catherine of Aragon and where he met Francois I the french king in a famous gathering, commemorated by a painting in the castle.
