This is the ancient National trust property called Ightham Mote in Kent which is about three miles from me. It is just celebrating it's 600 th anniversary so you can tell how old it is. The word Mote doesn't come from the fact that it has a moat, but from a word meaning meeting. Particularly happy with the stonework on this one.
