This is a watercolour I did for a neighbour. Her husband was retiring as Chairman of the cricket club at Bearsted and for his 50th birthday, she asked  me to paint a picture of the ground with a game already in play. This was the first ball about to be bowled as there are no scores up yet and the umpire is holding the bowler back for when the batsman is ready. This isnt usually the sort of thing I do, but I was so happy with the end result.
