This is a watercolour I produced for Sofitel of the Winter Palace Hotel in Luxor, Egypt. The hotel is famous . Bulit in 1886 , it was the winter residence of the Egyptian king, until it was turned into a hotel. Lord Carnarvon and Howard Carter were frequent guests here during the excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb in the 20s. My original is still hanging in the corridor by the Piano Bar among work by the Victorian artist David Roberts. I have prints of this painting.
