This is a favourite of mine. We went to visit a village...Carennac.. on the Dordogne and then found a priory, which boasted an ancient "mise en tombeau". before we got to the room with the statuary, we came across this lovely little cloister with the sun streaming through onto the path. it had to be painted as I wanted to get that light effect and the stone was all different colours.
