Firemans Hall and Blitz Monument

Featured Firemans Hall and Blitz Monument

In the aftermath of the 2001 Twin Tower disaster, Steve was asked to paint a watercolour of our Blitz monument in front of St Pauls cathedral in London, which commemorates the firemen who died during World War 2 during the German Blitzkrieg on the capital. It was thought that this would be a fitting contribution to an auction in New York that was raising funds for the families of American  fireman who gave their lives in the aftermath of the attacks. The picture was framed and duly dispatched to New York , where it was not sold in the auction, but was hung on the walls of Fireman’s Hall.
