Finchcocks

Built in 1725, it has been a private residence, a ballet school and a music museum. Richard and Katrina Burnett collected over 100 antique keyboard instruments and held regular musical open days and craft fairs. I would set up my easel in the house and paint in front of the visitors at both the Christmas and summer fairs in the garden. We printed 200 limited edition prints litho of the house and also produced A6 blank cards. In 2016, the house and all its contents were all auctioned. Most of the musical instruments were sold to a music museum in China, but some went to the Horniman museum in South London. This month I have been contacted by the curator to attend an open evening in September , where this painting will be displayed, hopefully for a long time.
