This watercolour of two doors to an outhouse opposite our girt in Clere de bois in the Loire Valley has been one of my most successful images. Each night as we were having our kirs on the terrace , I could see the shadows lengthening across these doors and thought it would make a great painting. I was right. I still have prints of this. it was featured on a KCC card sold in all kent libraries , where they called it "Two Friends". No, I don't get that one either.
